Revenue for the group’s fragrances and cosmetics business, notably including the Carven and Jacques Bogart brands, was €56.9 million, up by 3.6%, and by 8.8% in like-for-like terms and at constant exchange rates.

The revenue of the Bogart Beauty Retail division, which comprises selective perfumery chain April, was €236.3 million, on par with last year and up by 4.7% in like-for-like terms and at constant exchange rates. Bogart closed down 26 stores in France and Belgium in 2022, and its 2023 results were still affected in terms of organic growth. The group also said it was penalised by exchange rate effects in Israel, and by the temporary closure of its 42 Israeli stores for one week in October 2023.

Bogart has recently acquired French perfume brand Rose et Marius, and announced it has also bought nine independent perfumeries in Germany, which will become part of the HC Parfumerie chain on March 1. As a result, the group will be operating a total of 92 perfumeries in Germany.

Bogart’s 2023 results will be published on April 29. The group has also confirmed that EBITDA improved in 2023, having been €38.8 million in 2022.
