A new exhibit focusing on fashion worn by Naomi Campbell opens at the V&A in June with Hugo Boss’s buoyant Boss label with which she has close links as its sponsor.
Called Naomi: In Fashion, it’s the first exhibit to ever look at her 40-year career with tickets having just gone on sale. The show opens on 22 June and runs until April next year.
Curated by Sonnet Stanfill, items on show will include dresses made for the supermodel by Azzedine Alaïa and Valentino as well as the infamous blue platform shoes in which she fell over on the Vivienne Westwood runway. There’s also on show the Dolce & Gabbana evening dress she wore on the last day of a stint of court-ordered community service.
And given her current role as a Boss ambassador and the fact that the label is sponsoring the show, there’s also a look from the AW23 runway collection that Campbell wore in the #BeYourOwnBoss campaign.
Boss has been forging ever closer links with her since she first appeared in the AW22 global campaign and this has culminated in the first Naomi x Boss capsule collection that launched recently.
Parent company Hugo Boss is also known for its support of cultural institutions and art museums globally.
