The new retail concept pays homage to classic Italian materials and the brand’s home city of Venice. Notably, the store’s façade and interior are characterized by concrete tiles inspired by Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa. The concrete tiles are complemented by Italian walnut wood used for shelving, display units, and mirrors, alongside Verde Saint Denis marble, sourced from the Aosta Valley in northern Italy.

Soft textures from wool carpets and woven leather seating in green, brown, and black shades nod to Bottega Veneta’s signature materials. Other fixtures and objects in the store refer to iconic Bottega Veneta designs, such as the store’s main door handle, reminiscent of the Sardine bag, and ceramic plant pots made by a Milan studio known for the brand’s enamelled ceramic details.

For customers, the store houses a new customization offering and a private area for made-to-order services. This area is equipped with a bespoke table, leather swatches, and a customization box, allowing customers to tailor iconic Bottega Veneta bags to their preferences by selecting colors, materials, and personalization details, such as initials.

Towards the back of the store, rotating doors in Verde Saint Denis marble mark an intimate VIC area. At opening, this exclusive space will showcase 15 unique Knot bags from the Bottega Veneta archive, alongside a selection of the House’s jewelry collection.

The store opens with Bottega Veneta’s Pre-Fall collection and the brand’s new candle collection, as well as three exclusive Sardine bags with ceramic handles and six exclusive handbags in exotic leathers, exclusive to the new Mall of Emirates boutique.
