Many features set the Eco Kids mattress apart from others on the market, but principally it’s the composition.

Made from super-soft bamboo, the mattress features anti-microbial properties that are a haven for allergy-laden kids, while bamboo is also highly breathable — helping to keep children cool all night long.

Secondly, it’s what’s under the surface that makes it so comfy.

Rather than standard springs, Eco Kids’ Chiro Flex ES spring system is 60 per cent stronger than other children’s mattresses, and the foams in their mattresses are GECA or Global GreenTag certified.

The Eco Kids Mattress is 100 per cent vegan as no animal products are used in the materials or during the manufacturing process.

It even comes highly recommended by the Australian Spinal Research Foundation.

Reviews online for the mattresses are glowing, and parents have described it as “brilliant”.

“Our kids love their Eco Kids mattresses!” one shopper wrote.

“We bought a double for our son a few years ago and it’s been great. So we had no hesitation choosing Eco Kids again when looking for a king single for our younger son.

The mattresses feel supportive but also soft enough on the top for the kids’ comfort. The edges are reinforced and don’t sag when you sit on them, even after years. The delivery was also much quicker than expected. We are happy to recommend Eco Kids to any parents looking for mattresses for their kids!”

Another said: “We were on a hunt for a single mattress for our three-year-old son who was transitioning from his cot into a big boy’s bed. After weeks of research, reading reviews about how each mattress is made and what qualities they have, we decided to go with Eco Kids mattress.

The comfort level is unmatched, the price was very competitive and the ordering process was easy as. The firmness is just perfect, not too soft that your body sinks in and not too hard that you toss and turn to find a comfortable position.”

The same reviewer added: “The support is amazing, especially for the little ones who need firmness and comfort. Appreciate the quality and truly hope that we won’t be buying any other mattress any time soon”.

The mattress was famously created when its Melbourne-based founded was given a task by his wife to design their son’s first mattress — a real kid’s mattress.

His wife wanted their son to sleep on an eco-friendly mattress, and a mattress that would be natural, sustainable and free of any harmful chemicals, but at the same time comfortable and supportive for a growing child.

Upon researching the Australian mattress market, to his surprise, the Eco Kids’ founder discovered the so-called ‘kids’ mattresses available were just smaller versions of adult mattresses and not made specifically with children’s growing bodies in mind.

Plus, most materials used were completely synthetic with no Eco/Health certification.

The final product took two years of research and development.
