Court heard that Robert Jenner, 50, is accused of the attempted murder of Kent Police Const. Sean Quinn, who suffered multiple injuries on June 15, 2023, at the defendant’s home in Maidstone, England, the U.K. Daily Mail reported.
Quinn showed up on the property to arrest Jenner for allegedly exposing himself to women but was attacked and stabbed 23 times by the suspect. Court heard that the officer had a “gaping wound” across his forehead, exposing his skull.
At court, “upsetting” body-worn footage was shown of a topless Jenner barricaded in his home with a sofa while the officer shouts, “put those f—ing scissors down now.”
The officer gets into the room and the defendant allegedly stabs him as the officer screams for help, eventually escaping after punching the defendant in the head five or six times.

“The Crown’s case is that by attacking Sean Quinn in the way in which he did, stabbing him multiple times to the head, face and neck, by choosing to do that, he must have been trying to do more than causing really serious injury, he must have been trying to end his life,” prosecutor Daniel Stevenson said, opening the case.
Jenner has gained notoriety in the past for his revealing behaviour, the Daily Mail reported. He claims to have been a naturist for more than 20 years and to have served in the army for 10 years.
The defendant also reportedly was a member of the Naturist Society, participating in naked swims and visiting nudist beaches in France, Spain and locally.
Court heard that Jenner had gone to the Maidstone police station earlier that day to ask for the return of see-through clothing that had previously been seized.

Officers refused. They believed he would wear the clothing and commit another offence. Jenner replied: “I’m going to strip off now” jurors were told.
At 7.50 p.m. that evening, Kent Police received a report of a man running naked in Mote Park, in Maidstone, “nipping in and out of bushes exposing himself to women.”
Following the bloody incident, Jenner was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
But the prosecutor added the pathologist evidence shows the wounds “had the potential to be fatal.”
Jenner is also charged with wounding with intent and denies both allegations.
The trial continues.
