Buccellati has appointed a new CEO. Nicolas Luchsinger, currently president Asia-Pacific at Van Cleef & Arpels, will take charge of the Italian jewellery brand on April 2, 2024.
Luchsinger has worked for 17 years at Parisian jewellery brand Van Cleef & Arpels, where he held various senior positions, including head of retail and heritage director, both at the brand’s headquarters and in markets outside France. Prior to that, he worked at Christie’s for nearly 10 years.
Luchsinger will replace Buccellati’s current CEO Gianluca Brozzetti, who has led the company for the past 10 years, and was in charge when Buccellati was acquired by the Richemont group in 2019.
Brozzetti will remain a member of the board of directors of Buccellati Holding Italia Spa, with the title of executive vice-president. He will also continue to represent the brand in industry associations, and within the partnership Buccellati has set up with Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana, a goldsmithing school in Milan.
Buccellati is 100% controlled by Swiss luxury group Richemont, but the eponymous founding family is still active in the business, and some of its members hold senior positions within the company. Buccellati has stores in some of the world’s most important cities, and in the most prestigious shopping malls.
