Australians are trying to save money more than ever as we struggle with the continuing cost-of-living crisis.
And while you might not have thought twice previously about picking up your dishwashing or laundry detergent from your closest supermarket, Amazon is proof that buying online — and in bulk — is a better option.
At present, the retailer is selling Finish Ultimate All in One Dishwasher Tablets for $25.92 – which gives customers 72 tabs.

The Finish brand is one that I’ve used for years.
I’ve never had issues of seeing grime or caked on stains after a dishwasher load ends.
More than 3,000 packets of the 72 tab packs have been purchased on Amazon in July alone.
“This product is even cleaning the tea stain on cups that have been in use for years,” one reviewer remarked on the website.
“It’s the only brand of dishwasher tablets that fully dissolve in the wash cycle and do not leave any residue on dishes. Everything comes out clean and clear including glassware,” said another.
A third added: “I have always used these tablets. Great value for money. Dishes come out so clean”.
In terms of laundry liquid, I also opt to buy in bulk, not realising for many years how much money it could save me.
I use the Cold Power four litre bottles that will serve 80 wash loads and set you back $23.36.
“Becomes cheaper than the supermarket (watered down) versions of budget or home brands,” one reviewer said.
“This at the moment is thicker and more concentrated and can if desired, be diluted slightly to stretch the budget further.”
