Caleres names Nancy Bitetto as SVP of New York brands

Caleres announced on Thursday the appointment of Nancy Bitetto as senior vice president of New York brands, which include Franco Sarto, Vince, Veronica Beard, and private brand offerings.

In this role, Bitetto is tasked with accelerating growth and expanding profitability within the Caleres brand portfolio. 

“Nancy brings a proven track record of success and solid background of building luxury and contemporary fashion brands,” said Jay Schmidt, president and CEO of Caleres, who Bitetto will report directly to. 

“Her expertise will enable us to advance our brand ambitions and power sustained growth. Attracting exceptional leadership is a crucial element of our strategic priorities, and we’re confident Nancy will play an instrumental role in driving shareholder value.”

Bitetto has over two decades of experience as a merchant, in both wholesale and retail sectors. She joins Caleres from Tory Burch where she led footwear and jewelry, and is credited for boosting productivity and improved profitability. 

Prior to Tory Burch, she served as head of women’s footwear merchandising for Prada North America, as well as held leadership roles at Ferragamo and Sergio Rossi.
