Recently restored by BLVD Hospitality Group, The Georgian Hotel, an iconic Art Deco hotel located in Santa Monica since 1933, where Charlie Chaplin, Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe were regulars, will welcome vintage expert Cameron Silver for a pop-up weekend from December 8 to 10.
Celebrating 100 years of style at The Georgian, the hotel will welcome the public and hotel guests to immerse themselves in the allure of the last ten decades. Vintage, pre-owned and contemporary pieces will be presented by renowned brands such as Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Valentino and Yves Saint Laurent. In addition, Decades will feature pieces from sustainable brands founded by women, such as ReWeave and Angel Chang.
Founder of Decades in 1997, a leading vintage boutique on Melrose Avenue, and orchestrator of Hollywood’s most memorable red-carpet outfits, Silver has been collaborating with leading stylists, celebrities, Hollywood studios and prominent fashion publications globally for over 30 years. “I think of fashion, of dressing, as art,” said Silver. “I’m not about disposable shopping. Even my day wear is glamor”.
Silver is also frequently tapped both as public emissary and secret weapon to consult on everything from re-imagining a brand’s identity to navigating its global launch. He has served as an official ambassador for Pringle and Boucheron. As creative consultant to Azzaro, Silver collaborated with the once-languishing Paris house’s new creative director Vanessa Seward on design, research, and development, as well as initiating and maintaining the brand’s role in celebrity dressing.
