Canada Goose is “exemplifying its commitment to next generation of changemakers” with the luxury outdoor brand developing its links to Central Saint Martins (CSM) with a further multi-year partnership.
Supporting the world-famous arts and design college in its bid to “shape the world through purpose-driven design”, Canada Goose recently collaborated with CSM students to launch the inaugural ‘HumanNature Award for Responsible Design’ which “builds on this existing relationship and formalises both parties shared vision for a better future”.
This new collaboration incorporates a “first-of-its-kind project that brings together two internationally renowned Central Saint Martins Masters courses: MA Fashion and MA Material Futures”.
Uniting science, technology, design, and fashion, “the ambition is to create ground-breaking new materials and garments that push the boundaries of sustainability and functionality”, we’re told.
The HumanNature Award will also return for this year’s MA Fashion students, “recognising an approach to design that is original and committed to responsible practice integrating socio-ecological values”.
The 2024 winner will be announced at the Central Saint Martin’s MA Fashion Show on 16 February.
“This partnership represents a powerful opportunity to support upcoming talent, further innovation in design, and drive purposeful change from a grassroot level,” said Juliette Streichenberger, President of EMEA & CGAG at Canada Goose.
“[We are working with] emerging talent who have unparalleled potential to not only support us in our commitment to keep the planet cold and the people on it warm, but to truly propel the fashion and design industry forward.”
