Apple CEO on Vision Pro
In this interview, Cook also cleared doubts about the availability of the Apple Vision Prowithin the scheduled date.The AR/VR headset was reportedly facing manufacturing delays as suppliers were facing trouble keeping up with the project’s ambition.
When asked about the release schedule of the company’s first mixed-reality, Cook has confirmed that the Vision Pro’s schedule remains on track.
He also added that he is confident about the device’s availability in the coming days and has also watched all of the third season of the popular TV series Ted Lasso on Vision Pro. He also mentioned that the device is on track at the iPhone 15 launch event as well. The Apple CEO was asked whether the challenges faced in creating iPhones and Vision Pro were similar. “No, it’s more complex, and so it requires innovation in not only the development but also in the manufacturing,” he said.
On carbon-neutral Apple Watch Series 9
Cook also talked about Apple’s environmental initiatives. This includes product claims like those made around the new Apple Watch Series 9’s carbon friendliness. He wants the company to show that it can be profitable to be carbon neutral. Apple has claimed that it’s reducing its gross carbon emissions and continues to thrive.
Apple has also made new bands and cases for the iPhone 15 with sustainable materials. “Our work is meant to improve other people’s lives,” Cook replied. “What really turns us on and gets us excited is seeing what people do with our products, where people are doing things and we’re empowering them to do it through our products.
