The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams for class 10 and class 12 will begin on 15 February 2025. The CBSE has requested all schools to submit the list of students of class 10 and 12th. For the first time the date sheets have been announced before 86 days of the examination commencement date. The class 10th board exams will be held from February 15 to March 18, 2025, while the class 12th board exams will be held from February 15 and end on April 4, 2025.
In comparison to the last year date sheet announcement, the CBSE has announced the date sheet 23 days in advance.
The board has elaborated the specific reasons behind the early release of the date sheet and its benefits. The CBSE said that students will be able to start their examination preparations well in advance which would help them overcome examination anxiety and improve their performance in the examinations. The CBSE has also stressed that families of the students appearing in the examinations and teachers will be able to plan their visit during the summer vacations.
A sufficient gap has been given between two subjects generally offered by students in both the classes. The date sheet has been prepared by avoiding more than 40,000 subject combinations to ensure that no two subjects’ examinations offered by a student fall on the same date.
