Celtic hero senses Rangers FEAR in Premiership battle as he makes title prediction

Paul Lambert reckons Rangers had a “fear factor” about them as they blew the chance to go top of the Premiership.

Philippe Clement‘s side were title favourites ahead of their game in hand over Celtic. But a defeat to Ross County then a goalless draw with Dundee saw the title pendulum swing back in favour of the holders, with Brendan Rodgers’ side now three points clear having played the same number of games.

With a massive final Old Firm encounter of the season to come at Parkhead on May 11, Rangers know they MUST win that while also hoping the Hoops slip up elsewhere – unless they can make up five goals in the process – if they are to retake control of their own destiny. Lambert however, is confident that his former club will get the job done after watching their rivals struggle to deal with the pressure of making up ground while Celtic had already banked their points and watched on.

“The one at Parkhead is going to be pivotal to what’s going to happen,” he told talkSport. “Whoever wins that will win the title. Celtic are favourites. They’re in the driving seat. Rangers had a fear factor in the last few games when they’ve not got the points, whereas Celtic have kicked on again. Parkhead will be formidable for Rangers to get a result.

“The Scottish Cup Final can go either way because of the 50/50 split. But I just think Celtic at the minute have got the upper hand.”
