Well, if reports are to be believed, the members of the Chandrayaan-3 team recently shared some behind-the-scenes details.Despite having only $74 million for the project, they found motivation in an unexpected place:Masala Dosa and Filter Coffee!

Venkateswara Sharma, one of the mission scientists, explained in an interview with Barkha Dutt that they offered free Masala Dosa and Filter Coffee every every evening at 5 pm to everyone. This simple gesture made the team happy to work longer hours.
The Chandrayaan-3 team worked at ISRO Telemetry, Tracking, and Command Network (ISTRAC) in Bangalore, where both these dishes are quite popular. While Masala Dosa is one of the popular South Indian dish made from rice and lentils, with a filling of spiced mashed potatoes inside. It’s usually served with Sambar and Coconut Chutney and enjoyed with Filter Coffee.
The mission was led by Sreedhara Panicker Somanath, ISRO’s chairman, and cost much less than space programs in the United States and Russia. This success not only put India on the map for space exploration but also showed that great achievements can be made with limited resources.
