The CAQM has also imposed additional constraints, including limits on construction activities and diesel generator usage, with some exemptions for essential services.

“Keeping in view the prevailing trend of air quality, in an effort to prevent further deterioration of the air quality, the CAQM decides that ALL actions as envisaged under stage III of the GRAP -‘Severe’ Air Quality (DELHI AQI ranging between 401-450) be implemented in right earnest by all the agencies concerned in the NCR, with immediate effect, in addition to the stage I and II actions already in force” Commission for Air Quality Management said.

Is your vehicle allowed to ply on the road?
If you own a BS-III petrol or BS-IV car then you are not allowed to take your vehicle out in Delhi and NCR, including Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Buddh Nagar. Apart from that, the government has also urged the people to avoid using personal vehicles. To promote the usage of public transport, the government plans to increase the frequency and introduce concessional rates.
