According to a report, there are around 35 Smartphones, on which WhatsApp may not support soon. It includes model like Samsung, Apple, Motorola.

There are many people who use smartphones for more than 3 to 4 years. According to Statista, people in the US use their devices for at least two years and seven months before buying a new smartphone. People who have an older phone and use WhatsApp may have to buy a new phone soon. WhatsApp may not function on 35 different smartphones including Apple, Samsung, Motorola.

A report by CanalTech claimed that WhatsApp will stop updating and functioning on over 35 smartphones from vendors like Apple, Huawei, Lenovo, LG, Motorola, and Samsung.

WhatsApp has changed its minimum system requirements which will affect the users with older phones. According to a same report smartphone users in the below mentioned list may not receive WhatsApp updates or security patches. In order to enhance the app’s performance and security, WhatsApp has taken this move.

There are a variety of phones on which ‘WhatsApp’ may not work, like Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S3 Mini, and Galaxy S4 Mini , Motorola’s Moto G and Moto X are also on the list. In Apple, models like iPhone 6 and iPhone SE will no longer support the app. Huawei, Lenovo, Sony, and LG also have several models affected. According to some media reports the app won’t give its support to these smartphones by the end of 2024.
