Kerala Vande Bharat Express routes, stoppages
According to Indian Railways, two out of the 10 new Vande Bharat Express trains will operate from Kollam to Tirunelveli and Thrissur, with future plans in place to extend the route to Guruvayur, a famous temple town in Thrissur district. The new routes will connect Thiruvananthapuram to Ernakulam and Guruvayur to Madurai in Tamil Nadu, they said.
The new Vande Bharat Express trains on Guruvayur-Madurai and Ernakulam-Thiruvananthapuram routes, will also have brief halts at the Kollam station, in addition to the Kollam-Thrissur and Kollam-Tirunelveli trains.
The Tirunelveli-Madurai Vande Bharat Express trains will pass through the historic Kollam-Shenkottai line, traversing the the scenic Kottarakkara-Punalur-Thenmala-Aryankavu route.
Kerala Vande Bharat Express ticket fares
As per Indian Railways, the fares for Vande Bharat Express trains start from Rs 30, inclusive of all taxes. Additionally, passengers travel frequently can save more money by opting for a month-long tickets which offers 20 journeys on a single pass.
The ticket fares for Vande Bharat Express trains, also known as Namo Bharat trains, have been designed to provide comfortable inter-city travel for regular travelers at affordable prices.
