Christina Hall calls estranged hubby ‘an insecure man’

Christina Hall is lashing out at her estranged husband, Josh Hall, calling him an “insecure man with a large ego” after he allegedly emptied $35,000 from her bank account.

According to court documents seen by Fox News Digital, Christina, 41, who is best known for her HGTV shows Christina on the Coast, Flip or Flop and Christina in the Country, has accused Josh of transferring $35,000 that belonged to her into his own personal bank account after they initiated divorce proceedings earlier this month. 

In the documents, Christina stated: “On July 21, 2024, I learned that on July 8, 2024, which is the day after I communicated to Josh that I would be filing for dissolution, Josh contacted my professional property manager via text and stated, ‘Hi. For June payments, can we please get it sent to a different account when it’s time? Thank you.’”

She continued: “The statement ‘can we please’ is not accurate as I had no personal contact with Josh on July 08, 2024. I would not have asked him to send himself my money the day after I told him we are getting divorced.”

Christina, who owns various rental properties in Tennessee, demanded in the docs that Josh return the money to her.

“Josh was able to divert over $35,000 of my separate property rental income into his account,” the docs read. “I am asking for Josh to account for the funds taken and return them to me as those funds are specifically used to pay any loans, obligations, property taxes, insurance, and maintenance for these rental properties.”

In a statement to Entertainment Tonight, Josh said he “denies any wrongdoing,” while a source told PEOPLE that he requested the property manager’s payment because “he handled all of the bills for their rental properties.”

Both Christina and Josh filed for divorce earlier this month citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Christina also blasted Josh in a post to her Instagram Story telling her followers she will “rise” above the messy drama.

“I have worked my ass off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve/what they did NOT work for should be ashamed,” the HGTV personality wrote.

“An insecure man with a large ego can sure try and derail you,” she continued, adding that “divorces don’t happen overnight and there is always a breaking point.”

She concluded her post, writing, “This one is personal.”

In her court docs, Christina also hit out at Josh’s request for spousal support as he makes his own living by selling real estate.

“Like all hard-working mothers, my life revolves around my children and my work. It is my understanding that Josh has his own income and therefore he should not need any spousal support from me,” she wrote.

As the drama continues to unfold, Josh broke his silence on Instagram posting a photo of himself walking through a forest captioning the pic with a praying hands emoji. 

The pair didn’t have any children together, but Christina shares 13-year-old daughter and an eight-year-old son with her first husband, Tarek El Moussa, and a four-year-old boy with her second former spouse, Ant Anstead.

After her allegations that he tried to steal $35,000 from her, Christina said she plans to go back through his accounts to see if there have been any irregularities in the past.

“It makes me wonder what else I am not aware of as it relates to his financial situation and that is why I am having a full forensic accounting performed for the entire term of our marriage,” she said.

After nearly three years of marriage, a source close to Christina told Us Weekly she was “done” with Josh.

“Christina was trying, but things happened, and it just wasn’t working,” the insider shared. “Christina was done when she filed the papers. It’s hard, but she’s doing great.”

Meanwhile, Christina’s ex spouse, Tarek, with whom she will appear alongside in a new HGTV show next year called The Flip Off, is siding with his former wife.

When Tarek and his wife, former Selling Sunset star Heather Rae El Moussa, spoke to paparazzi about the split earlier this week, he said: “We’re here to support her. We got one shot at life, we gotta do what’s best for us. Whatever she needs, we’re here to help.” 

He added in a video shared by E! News, “I think life’s tough, s— happens. I think she’s gonna get through this.”
