Condition update on girl, 15, hit by car in south east London

Police have issued an update on the condition of a teenage girl who was hit by a car in south east London.

The crash happened in Lower Road on April 18 at around 9.24am and involved a pedestrian and a car.

London Ambulance Service treated a head injury at the scene before taking the 15-year-old to a major trauma centre hospital.

Police have said that her condition is non-life threatening.

No arrests have been made as police inquiries continue.

London Ambulance Service’s resources included an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, a medic in a fast response car and an incident response officer.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “On Thursday, April 18, police were called to Lower Road at 9.24am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a car.

“Police attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service, and a 15-year-old girl was taken to a near-by hospital.

“There have been no arrests, enquiries are on-going.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.19am today (April 18) to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Lower Road.

“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, a medic in a fast response car and an incident response officer.

“We treated a teenager at the scene for a head injury before taking them to a major trauma centre.”
