Chandigarh: The Congress party on Thursday released its fourth list of five candidates for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. The Congress party has announced its candidates for five constituencies: Parimal Pari will contest from Ambala Cantt, Sachin Kundu from Panipat Rural, Satbir Dublain from Narwana (SC), Sarva Mitra Kamboj from Rania, and Rohit Nagar from Tigaon.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Congress party released its third list of candidates for the Haryana Assembly elections. Sharing a post on X(previously Twitter), Congress party wrote,”Third list of Congress candidates for Haryana Assembly elections released in the meeting of ‘Central Election Committee’ held under the chairmanship of Congress President Shri @kharge.”

The third list of candidates announced by the Congress party includes Chander Mohan for Panchkula, Nirmal Singh for Ambala, Pooja Chaudhary for Maulana, Akram Khan for Jagadhri, Rahul Makkar for Hansi, Manisha Sangwan for Dadri, Jagdish Yadav for Kosli, and Lakhan Kumar Singhla for Faridabad.

Ahead of the upcoming Haryana Assembly polls, the Congress party has nominated Ashok Arora for Thanesar, Kuldeep Sharma for Ganaur, Brijendra Singh for Uchana Kalan, and Paramvir Singh for Tohana. Anirudh Chaudhary will contest from Tosham, Balram Dangi from Meham, Manju Choudhary from Nangal Chaudhary, Vardhan Yadav from Badshahpur, and Mohit Grover from Gurugram.

Earlier, Vinesh Phogat, a former wrestler and the Congress candidate from the Julana Assembly constituency, submitted her nomination for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. Vinesh Phogat submitted her nomination in the presence of Congress MP Deepender Hooda and other state leaders. She thanked the people of the constituency for their support and highlighted the party’s dedication to working for the welfare of all sections of society.

“Today I am feeling excited and proud with my family after filing my nomination. With the blessings of the 36 communities of my family of Julana Vidhan Sabha, I assure my elder brother @DeependerSHooda ji and all of you that the family of Julana will elect me and hand over this seat to you after winning it. Together we will revive the development of Julana, which had come to a halt during the BJP government. Now the time has come for change, now it is the turn for development!,” Phogat wrote.

Phogat joined the Congress party on September 6 along with olympian wrestler Bajrang Punia, providing a big boost to the party in the run-up to the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. Voting for the 90-member Haryana Legislative Assembly will take place on October 5, with September 12 being the last date for filing nominations.

The counting of votes will take place on October 8. In the 2019 Assembly elections, the BJP emerged as the single-largest party with 40 seats, while the Congress secured 30 seats.
