Cosmetica Laboratories names new CEO

Cosmetica Laboratories Inc. announced on Wednesday the appointment of Angelica Bekanich to the role of president and chief executive officer, effective November 18.

Bekanich brings extensive C-suite cosmetics contract manufacturing expertise to the Canadian cosmetics manufacturer. The executive is a proven leader and innovator, with an ability to establish partnerships, expand markets, prioritize customer needs, and anticipate trends. She joins Cosmetica Labs from Meiyume, where she served as head of Americas, based in New York.

Headquartered in Toronto, Cosmetica specializes in product development and manufacturing for color cosmetics and skincare. The company has two manufacturing facilities in Toronto, and a state-of-the-art innovation hub in Los Angeles.

Earlier this year, the company ​hosted a pop-up event, in Brooklyn, New York, in April to showcase its products and new trend collection.

The event marked the third annual pop-up showcase from Cosmetica, following the success of previous events such as the Studio-54-themed event in Las Vegas in 2023 and an immersive experience featuring AR-VR elements in New York City in 2022.
