HAMILTON COPS WARN OF DAYTIME BREAK-INS
A group of burglars are canvassing neighbourhoods prior to daytime break-and-enters in Hamilton.
Hamilton Police said the suspects get out of a vehicle, knock on the door or ring the doorbell and, if unanswered, they then leave in the vehicle and circle the neighbourhood, later returning and forcing entry into the residence. Once inside, the suspects target bedrooms containing jewelry.
Police said if the homeowner answers the door, the suspects will “make up an excuse or pose as a landscaper or general labourer.” The wanted crew have been seen wearing high-visibility reflective clothing, hardhats and face masks.
Police are asking residents to be aware of suspicious behaviour and report any observations to police or Crime Stoppers.
