If bad social media graphics were an art, NBC may be this generation’s Pablo Picasso. Ahead of what could easily be billed as the most anticipated game of the year — a 49ers-Cowboys affair on Sunday Night Football pitting two of the league’s oldest rivals and hottest teams against one another — NBC posted a graphic to Instagram that one fan described as “the worst post I’ve ever seen on this page.”
Appearing on NBC’s @SNFonNBC Instagram account, the graphic depicts Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott as Captain America with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background — the Niners play 48 miles from the Golden Gate Bridge — and the phrase “Daktain America” scrawled across the top. Of the 345 comments on the post as of Sunday morning, virtually all of them roasted the extremely cringe graphic.

“Bro take this down,” another pleaded.
“This is probably the worst post I’ve ever seen on this page,” said another.

“Delete this and fire the guy who used Canva to make it,” another begged.
Prescott, who has led the Cowboys to a 3-1 record to start the season, ranks near the middle of the pack for virtually every quarterback measure this season save for two very important ones for him: He’s 4th in completion percentage and tied for 27th in interceptions with just one.
In 2022, Prescott was tops in the league with 15 picks, contributing to head coach Mike McCarthy parting ways with offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and taking over play-calling duties himself. The result has been a bevy of short, high-percentage throws for Prescott, who has completed just one pass of 40-plus yards this season.
Prescott — who was ousted from the playoffs by the 49ers in somewhat embarrassing fashion each of the last two years — has been pretty shy of Captain America this year. It’s something fans were quick to point out.

“Shield getting intercepted,” joked one fan.
“Man that’s disrespectful to Steve Rodgers man wtf,” another added.
“Thanks for ruining Captain America,” stated a third.
And while even some Cowboys fans acknowledged how bad the graphic was (“This goofy as s—t, & Imma Cowboys fan!!”), at least one was keeping it as a receipt: “Can’t wait too see how well all these comments age.”
