Daily morning beverage could improve your gut health fast

Boosting your gut health might be as simple as enjoying a beverage.

Everyone could benefit from taking extra steps towards a healthier lifestyle. It’s common knowledge a balanced diet and regular exercise are fundamental to maintaining good health, but there’s more to overall wellbeing than just these elements.

One of the most effective ways to feel better all over is to keep an eye on your gut health by consuming the right nutrients at optimal times throughout the day.

A nutrition expert suggested enhancing your gut health can be straightforward and affordable, without the need for complex routines in your hectic schedule. In fact, it involves just one particular drink each morning, something readily available to everyone.

In a TikTok video, Gianna revealed her top three recommendations for better gut health. Her primary advice was to consume “warm water” first thing in the morning before any other activity.

To maximise the benefits, she recommends adding “electrolyte powder” to the water, although just the warm water alone could significantly “help your digestion”.

The nutrition expert shared her wisdom, saying: “Drink warm water on an empty stomach. I do about 32oz (910ml). You’re going to want to add some sort of electrolyte powder to that drink.

“You could also use pink Himalayan salt and lemon juice, maybe some apple cider vinegar. Not only will the drink hydrate you and make you feel good, but it will also help restore your natural fluid balance and help your digestion just by getting things moving and releasing toxins.”

She then advised against the common habit of drinking morning coffee without any food. Instead, she suggested: “Eat a well-balanced breakfast alongside or before your coffee.

“We are no longer drinking coffee on an empty stomach; this is one of the worst things you could be doing if you’re trying to balance out your hormones. Not only are you overloading your adrenals, but you’re also sending a cortisol spike throughout your body.”

For her final tip, Gianna emphasised the benefits of morning exercise for digestive health. She explained engaging in physical activity after waking up is crucial because “it immensely helps your digestion” by stimulating blood flow post-slumber.

Social media users were quick to endorse the advice, with many vowing to implement these changes “as soon as possible”.

One enthusiastic follower commented: “Love these tips! Yes, no coffee before food! I switched that, and wow, what a difference!”

Meanwhile, a further commentator noted: “Absolutely crucial! Incorporating these habits can truly boost your gut health and hormone balance.”
