Italian eyewear specialist De Rigo and French label Zadig & Voltaire have announced they have renewed their worldwide license agreement for the design, production and distribution of sunglasses and eyeglasses, originally signed in 2015. The two partners have not specified the term of this new agreement.
In the last nine years, the collections developed by De Rigo for Zadig & Voltaire, distinctive for their bold style, have gradually extended their retail distribution footprint, initially across France, and then globally.
“We are delighted to put our trust again in the De Rigo group, with which Zadig & Voltaire has built a strong partnership over the past nine years. Renewing the agreement affords us new creative and commercial opportunities that will confirm the success of our partnership on a global scale,” said Arnaud Gillier, president of Zadig & Voltaire.
De Rigo Vision distributes its products in more than 100 countries through 23 local companies and an international network of independent distributors. In optical products retailing, the group controls the chains General Optica (Spain), Mais Optica (Portugal), Opmar Optik (Turkey), and holds a stake in Boots Opticians (UK).
Through the wholesale channel, De Rigo distributes proprietary brands Lozza, Police, IN Inspired by Sting and Yalea, as well as licensed brands Aramis, Barrow, Blumarine, Chopard, Diff Eyewear, Escada, Fila, Furla, Gap, John Varvatos, Jones New York, Just Cavalli, Lucky Brand, Mulberry, Nina Ricci, Philipp Plein, Plein Sport, Porsche Design, Roberto Cavalli, Rodenstock, Tous, Tumi, Twinset, Victor Hugo and Zadig & Voltaire.
De Rigo is based in Belluno, Italy, and in 2023 it recorded a consolidated revenue of €506.1 million, up 11.8% over fiscal 2022. Zadig & Voltaire is present in over 30 countries with some 400 stores, and generates a revenue of approximately €350 million.
