Few things in travel are worse than a tight airport connection. You’re either sprinting through ATL, fast enough to lose your neck pillow off your bag in the fray, or sleeping in the airport after watching the last plane to America take off without you. Luckily, Delta now has a solution for those mad dashes through the terminal: 518 horsepower of Porsche people-moving.

Delta has long used Porsches to move travelers around airports — not receiving a Porsche Service is almost treated as a slight on the company’s subreddit — but the cars involved are traditionally Cayennes. For the next few days, though, lucky travelers through Los Angeles International Airport will get to make their connections in something a little more interesting: A bright red 911 GT3 RS.

Due to the whole “being on airport property” part of the Delta connection program, it’s unlikely that your ride in the GT3 RS will be one that tests the car’s limits of traction and acceleration — you probably won’t be outrunning any planes once they’re cleared for takeoff. More likely, you’ll just get to marvel over the 911’s ultralight interior as you travel at normal, reasonable speeds to your next gate. Depending on the amount of luggage you’re carrying, you may even still need that Cayenne in tow.

The program, which runs at LAX through February 26, isn’t the first time Delta has upped its Porsche game for connections. The company once even put a 918 Spyder in service to ferry travelers around ATL, presumably in response to all the reports of missing neck pillows from folks who had to sprint around the airport. I’m not bitter.
