Diablo 4 fans are counting down to the release of the Vessel of Hatred expansion for PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series consoles and PC. The first major Diablo 4 expansion has an October 8 release date on all platforms. The DLC has a midnight launch time for fans living in the UK, while US fans can start playing at 4pm PDT/7PM EDT on October 7. The expansion will be accompanied by a big new update, which not only lays the foundation for the new Vessel of Hatred content, but also adds new content and gameplay tweaks to the base game. Indeed, all Diablo 4 players will need to download the update, whether you’ve purchased the expansion or not. The Vessel of Hatred Standard Edition costs £34.99 on PS5, while the Deluxe Edition is available for £49.99. You can save money on the Deluxe Edition by purchasing discounted PlayStation Store credit from CD Keys below.
After purchasing a top-up card from CD Keys, the retailer will send you a link with the code that can redeemed on the PlayStation Store.
Once you’ve added the credit to your PlayStation account, you can pick up the £49.99 Standard Edition of the game, having only actually spent £44.99.
If you have pre-ordered Vessel of Hatred then pre-loading is available ahead of the game’s midnight launch. Downloading the game early will ensure you’re ready to play once the clock strikes midnight.
Vessel of Hatred introduces a new story campaign, which takes place directly after the events of the main game. However, while Blizzard recommends completing the original campaign first, you can actually start from the beginning of the Vessel of Hatred story.
The expansion takes place in the Nahantu Region, where its people are tasked with stopping Mephisto from spreading his evil.
As part of the expansion, fans will be able to play as the new Spiritborn Class, battling new monsters, bosses and other enemies in exclusive new dungeons and other locations.
Needless to say, the expansion is also accompanied by an update, which is available to download now.
The new update increases the max level, adds a new difficulty system, reworks item quality and lots more. You can check out the patch notes below.
