The house of Dior is planning its next cruise show for June 3, 2024, in what will be the latest exotic voyage for the Paris-based fashion brand.
Though Dior did not reveal the eventual location of the show, the house underlined that the collection would celebrate a foreign culture, suggesting that the show will be a long way from Paris.
Previous Dior cruise collections have been staged in historic cities like Mexico City, Seville, Athens and Marrakesh.
“For Maria Grazia Chiuri, cruise shows are essential creative events and great opportunities to celebrate beauty and the plurality of cultures,” Dior said in an official release.
In the recent cruise collections, Dior’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri incorporated ideas by local artists and artisans, and then unveiled them in famed locations. In Mexico City, Chiuri staged a modern-day Frida Kahlo collection inside the Colegio de San Ildefonso; in Seville, Chiuri displayed flamenco fantasy in the Plaza de España; and in Athens, Maria Grazia presented caryatid chic in the city’s giant Panathenaic Stadium.
“Inviting both discovery and escape, the House will unveil the Dior cruise 2025 collection on June 3, 2024, in the heart of a still undisclosed destination,” the Dior release concluded.
