Diptyque reshuffles its management team

Diptyque, the Parisian house known for its candles and fragrances, is making a series of management changes. CEO of Diptyque since December 2007, Fabienne Mauny has been promoted to operating partner of Manzanita Capital, the fund that owns the brand. In this role, she will oversee the fund’s other brands and become President of Diptyque.

Laurence Semichon – Diptyque

Laurence Semichon, senior vice president of Diptyque since 2019, will therefore take up the position of CEO on July 1. “She will be responsible for leading the next phase of growth while preserving the brand’s uniqueness and continuing to develop Diptyque as a luxury lifestyle brand,” says the brand’s communication. Before joining Diptyque, Laurence Semichon worked for the LVMH group. She spent 11 years working for Givenchy, notably as head of the perfume group, and then for Louis Vuitton as perfume director. Finally, Nicolas Floquet, Diptyque’s Chief Operating Officer since 2012, will take up the newly-created post of Deputy CEO.  

Diptyque which was bought in 2005 by the Manzanita Capital fund – owner of Malin+Goetz and former owner of Byredo sold to Puig, achieved sales of 94 million euros in 2020. The brand, which recently inaugurated a new boutique concept in Paris and London, is present in 56 countries via some 1,200 points of sale and has around 120 boutiques worldwide. It is also due to open a store in India in the near future.
