Don’t buy those $900 Oogie Boogie Bash tickets on StubHub — Disneyland is watching

Disneyland has a dire warning for anyone shut out of the sold-out Oogie Boogie Bash event and thinking about paying double, triple or quadruple for tickets at an online reseller: Buyer beware.

Resellers have listed more than 600 Oogie Boogie Bash tickets, which retail for $134 to $189, for as much as $900 on Stubhub, according to MousePlanet.

“If Disney is able to identify the sellers of these tickets, they can be revoked,” according to MousePlanet.

Tickets sold out in just 11 days for the annual Halloween event taking place on 27 select nights from Aug. 25 through Oct. 31 at Disney California Adventure.

Disneyland has cracked down on scalpers selling tickets for after hours, separate admission events on eBay — but that hasn’t stopped resellers from posting tickets on StubHub for the popular Halloween event.

But buying Oogie Boogie Bash tickets through a reseller is a bad idea.

“Disney has demonstrated that they can work with the site to obtain the identity of resellers, void their tickets and revoke their Magic Key passes where applicable,” according to MousePlanet.

Oogie Boogie Bash tickets may not be resold after they are purchased, according to Disneyland officials.

Disneyland resort teams have an established process for investigating resold tickets that may be voided where appropriate, according to Disneyland officials.

The terms and conditions regarding ticket sales are clearly spelled out on the Disneyland website.

  • Disneyland tickets are non-transferable and may not be sold.
  • Theme park reservations are void if transferred or sold.
  • Disney can cancel any tickets at any time for any reason.
  • Disneyland tickets are non-refundable.
