New Delhi: There was absolute chaos and panic in New Delhi today morning after it was reported that Delhi Public School (DPS), Dwarka received a bomb threat mail. After this, the number of schools who received the bomb threat kept increasing and as of now, more than 100 schools have received a threat mail regarding a bomb in the premises; following this, investigations were launched, bomb disposal units and dog squads reached the locations along with police officers and students were sent home as part of precautionary evacuation. Here’s What Threat Mail Says
According to media reports and social media, a copy of the mail sent as a bomb threat to the schools in Delhi is being circulated which says that there is an angle of Jihad; the sender has also quoted The Quran. The mail has begun with the following words, “Kill them wherever you meet and drive them out of the places from which they drove you. (2:191)” The mail further said, “There are many explosive devices in the school.”
Delhi Police Issues Statement
In a latest development, Delhi Police has issued a statement and has said, “Some schools of Delhi received E-mails regarding bomb threats. Delhi Police has conducted thorough check of all such schools as per protocol. Nothing objectionable has been found. It appears that these calls seem to be hoax. We request the public not to panic and maintain peace.”
