‘Dream Girl 2’ box office collection: Ayushmann Khurrana starrer crosses Rs 100 worldwide gross | Hindi Movie News

Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday starrer ‘Dream Girl 2‘ released on August 25 and amidst the euphoria around ‘Gadar 2’, it still has emerged as a winner. ‘Dream Girl 2’ is Ayushmann’s biggest opener as it made around 10.5 crore on its opening day. In its second week, the film managed to make Rs 21 crore and it’s a good number due to Raksha Bandhan holiday. While the film is on its way to cross Rs 100 mark at the domestic box office, it has already crossed Rs 100 crore worldwide.
Ayushmann shared a video of his dance number in the movie and he wrote, “Pooja ek tyohaar hai, Aapke pyaar ke vajah se ab 100 Crore ke paar hai ❀️😊”

Meanwhile, the film saw a fall in the business on its first Monday and the total collection so far at the domestic box office is Rs 85 crore. Hence, one shall have to see if it manages to cross the 100-crore mark at the domestic box office post ‘Jawan‘ release. The film has just another day to make the most as with Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Jawan’ releasing on September 7, it will take the box office by storm. The advance bookings across the nation and overseas look phenomenal. Even the morning shows starting at 7 am tomorrow are full and the euphoria is hard to miss!
With ‘Jawan’ releasing, one doubts if other films might stand a chance, especially the ones which are in its second or third week. However, it would be interesting to see if ‘Gadar 2’ will still hold well with competition from ‘Jawan’.
