Delhi University PhD Admission 2024: The National Eligibility Test (NET) score will be used for selecting candidates admission for PhD programmes decided by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for academic session 2024-25. Delhi University PhD Admission Guidelines 2024:
The National Eligibility Score will be classified into three categories for the PhD admissions:-
Category 1- Those candidates who qualify for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) are eligible to be appointed as Assistant Professor moreover to PhD admission. These candidates can apply for all three positions.
Category 2- In this category the candidates are eligible for appointment as Assistant Professor as well as PhD admission but are not eligible for the junior research fellowship. The applicants can apply for Assistant Professors positions and PhD admissions.
Category 3- The candidates are only eligible for PhD admission and not for Assistant Professors positions or JRF.
For candidates falling under category 2 and 3 the validity of the NET marks or score is limited to one year. This means that the candidates who certify in these two categories must apply for PhD admission within one year of qualifying the University Grant Commision’s National Eligibility Test.
