When fans visit the Graceland mansion today you may not be able to go upstairs, but you can see up the main staircase.
If you look closely from the bottom of the stairs, you can see there’s a security wall on the first-floor landing with one-way mirrors so the King could see who was around.
Similarly, Elvis Presley kept CCTV cameras by his bedroom to have an idea of who was in the house when he went downstairs.
On the landing viewable from the ground floor, fans can also spot some mysterious drapes. And just to the side of them is a door on the right going up to Elvis’ bedroom, but also one on the left. Just where does that one go?
Express.co.uk previously took part in a virtual tour of Graceland and archivist Angie Marchese showed us by walking through it.
On the live stream, Angie headed through the door while the camera stayed downstairs and went into the kitchen to find that she had come down the stairs into that room.
The Graceland expert explained this was how Elvis would come downstairs to the kitchen when he was hungry.
There he could pick up some snacks for himself and even his famous peanut butter banana sandwiches.
This was also a way for the King to keep a low profile by heading to the kitchen without going through the foyer.
