GEDU‘s English Language division, EnglishPath was launched in 2021, and the new opening for the language school is part of a wider expansion which has also seen campuses open in Riyadh, Berlin and Paris.
EP Brisbane will share the space of its Queensland sister college Australian Performing Arts Conservatory, acquired by GEDU earlier this year.
The APAC/EP Brisbane campus is in the heart of the city with views over Town Hall square and Queen Street Mall, just 50 metres from the geographical centre of Brisbane.
EP managing director, Mike Summerfield, said the Australian expansion is a coup for the organisation.
“We have an ambition to equip as many students as possible with the English skills they need to be successful in their careers, and this Australian expansion will be critical to this,” said Summerfield.
“Australia is one of the most successful multicultural nations in the world, with particularly close ties to Asia and the Pacific, and is a shining example of what can be achieved when united by the English language.
“Brisbane is a stunning city, and being situated here means our students will have the chance to enjoy the very best of the Australian culture and lifestyle when they aren’t studying,” Summerfield added.
