Epic deal on Birkenstocks for Boxing Day: How to get sandals for $109 in once-a-year discount

They’re the signature shoe that exploded in popularity in Australia about a decade ago and has been consistently spotted on the beach and in the local RSL clubs ever since.

But while we love the humble Birkenstocks Down Under we don’t love paying almost $170 for even the most basic versions of the sandal — and many are turning to cheaper versions from Kmart and Rubi Shoes to get their fix.

That’s why it’s important to take advantage of the Boxing Day sales while they’re still on with OzSale greatly reducing the price of the Arizona sandal and popular Bostons.

Leather Arizona Birkenstocks are just $109 in a variety of EU sizes, down from $165 originally, and the Bostons are $149 down from $214.

I’ve been wearing the Arizona style for years now and find they can last even when they get wet, scuffed around and worn multiple times a week.

If you like the smaller strap approach the Madrid sandal is down to $89 from $146 and the unisex Gizeh is $129 down from $184.

There are men’s, women’s and even kid’s sizes still in stock but the sale will wrap up on New Year’s Day.

They are comfortable to wear on a warm summer’s day and provide arch support — moulding to your feet as you move.

“Great shoe that I know will last years to come. I also like that there are so many colours to choose from,” one buyer said of their Birkenstocks purchase.

“Whether you need them just to wear around the house or to go on a long walk, these Birkenstocks won’t let you down,” said another.

OzSale is hosting a mega sale on a range of homewares, fashion and electricals to close out the end of the year.
