Everyone, And I Mean Everyone, Needs A Supercharged Wheelbarrow Hot Rod

We’ve all been there. You’re sitting around your fab shop shooting the shit with your pals and start thinking you should do something with your pile of vintage military surplus aircooled four-cylinder generator engines, a tiny supercharger, and an old disused wheelbarrow. What if you put them all together with a custom frame and air suspension and ripped it up to 45 miles per hour? Have another beer or two and it goes from a good idea to a tremendous idea.

If you aren’t following the Cars and Cameras YouTube channel by now, you really should be, because these hooligans are constantly coming up with more bonkers shit to have fun with. Most of their contraptions are built from small-displacement engines making less than 15 horseponies. This rad little rolling deathtrap doesn’t get a trip to the dyno, but it revs to 7,000 RPM and pushes a full-sized adult sitting criss-cross-applesause to seriously lethal speeds.

The dumber an idea is, the more entertaining it’s going to be. That’s just the first rule of doing dumb shit on YouTube. You would think that making a wheelbarrow car, then powering it with an old generator, then supercharging it would be like a hat on a hat on a hat, but these down-home fabricator dorks make it work in the best way possible. And then to add a fourth hat on top, they rip the wheelbarrow car down the street and drop the suspension to throw a shitload of sparks. These are some folks that seem like they’d be real cool to be friends with, because they’d push you to the next level of doing your dumb idea.

Who wouldn’t have fun with a contraption like this? It’s perfection.
