Central London’s historic shopping arcades have proved popular destinations for high-end brands opening new stores in recent periods and the latest is Fabergé.

The luxury jeweller and gifts brand has a new home in the heart of London’s St James’s neighbourhood, at 14 Piccadilly Arcade.

Its new retail space offers clients an opportunity to view its core jewellery and watch collections, as well as selected haute jewellery and egg objets. “Designed to be an inviting and calming space”, the boutique is open for walk-ins, as well as private appointments.

The Fabergé brand has a long history with central London. Its first London boutique opened in 1906 at 48 Dover Street and it later moved to 173 Bond Street in 1910. These were destination stores for the rich, famous and royal during the brand’s golden age.

Piccadilly Arcade isn’t far from those two locations and is also a stone’s throw from key London hotspots such as the Royal Academy, Fortnum & Mason and the most famous of all the city’s upscale shopping arcades, Burlington.

It isn’t quite as old at Burlington Arcade but originally opened in 1910 as a very early cinema and became a shopping hub in 1926.
