Activewear brand Fabletics has launched a surprise new collection into the UK market with the debut of its Scrubs offer. It follows a “successful” launch in the US with the line “made with and for the medical community”.
A further extension into other European markets is to follow later this year.
The company said it has used its “years of industry-leading expertise in designing performance apparel with direct input from scrubs wearers to create [the] first-ever Activewear Scrubs”.
Launching in Britain on 16 April, we’re told it’s the world’s first-of-its-kind in the medical apparel category.
The first four “active-inspired” styles include tops, bottoms and under scrubs in five colourways for women (black, wine red and three shades of blue, with a further colour launch of white to follow in May). Prices range from £34.95 to £49.95.
It was all developed through “extensive research and insights from over 6,500 medical professionals” and Fabletics Scrubs “has redefined the traditional scrubs uniform to create a collection of performance-grade workwear that is durable, comfortable, and made for daylong wear by a highly active community”.
The 13-piece collection will be available on its webstores and as part of the brand’s flexible VIP membership.
The company launched the Founders’ Circle — a community of scrubs wearers from various professions within the medical community — to provide feedback on the overall design, fit, colourways, and fabric names. And they were the first to wear-test the pieces. Those community members are also being featured in the brand’s visual campaign titled Made To Move.
