It’s been a while since a TikTok food trend so thoroughly gripped the nation that it led to ingredient shortages because so many people were trying it out. Remember the days of the viral baked feta pasta? What about Big Mac smashed tacos? Well, there’s a new trend making the rounds, and it’s the perfect treat for a hot summer day. It’s called fluffy Coke, and it’s apparently so good, even celebrities are trying it out.
Where it came from is a little bit of a mystery, but one of the earliest and most-watched clips comes from TikToker Emma Grace, who posted a tutorial where her grandma (Memama) walks her through making it. You only need a few simple ingredients: marshmallow fluff (not marshmallow cream — this is key, according the Chrissy Teigen), ice and a Coke. All you have to do is spread the marshmallow fluff around the inside of your glass, add ice and then pour in your Coke. Apparently, it’s even better if you use your straw to scrape the fluff off the side of the glass before each sip.
