Fortnite down – Server maintenance timings for update 29.10 downtime | Gaming | Entertainment

Fortnite fans are excited about the release of update 29.10, which should give the latest season a much-needed boost. The next Fortntite update is shaping up to be a big one, especially for fans of LEGO Fortnite, which will benefit from the majority of the new features and gameplay tweaks. Of course, it’s not all good news, because as a major update, the release of version 29.10 will be accompanied by a lengthy period of server downtime on PlayStation consoles, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch and Android devices. If you’re wondering how long server downtime will last and when you can start playing Fortnite again, check out the maintenance schedule below for more information.

The good news for UK fans is that Fortnite update 29.10 will be available to download on the morning of March 26.

The game will be taken down at around 8am GMT UK time, so it shouldn’t have too big an impact on fans heading off to school/college, or working 9-5.

Matchmaking will be disabled at 7.30am GMT, before servers go offline in full at 8am GMT.

While there’s no official timescale for when the Fortnite servers will come back online, fans can expect the game to be playable from around 11am GMT.

The news was announced by Epic Games on X, alongside a preview of what’s coming to LEGO Fortnite.

“Things will be… wheely taking off in LEGO Fortnite,” reads an Epic tweet. “Downtime for v29.10 begins at 4 AM ET with matchmaking ending shortly beforehand.”

As you can probably tell from the Epic Games tweet, the main attraction will be the release of vehicle building in LEGO Fortnite.

Three vehicle types will be available for fans to build, including the Speeder, the Offroader and the massive Hauler.

Players will need to find certain items in order to unlock the recipes for each vehicle type, so be prepared for some exploration.

Elsewhere, Guardians of the Galaxy favourite Drax is tipped to join the item shop, while Kratos will finally make his return.

Fans can also expect a new crossover with NIKE, as well as the release of the Korro Battle Pass quests and lots more.
