Fusalp continues to rise with Pascal Conte-Jodra as CEO

Fusalp has a new leader. The premium French mountain brand has announced the arrival of Pascal Conte-Jodra as managing director. This recruitment of a luxury specialist follows the departure at the end of 2023 of Alexandre Fauvet, who had held the position of general manager since the brand was acquired and relaunched in 2014 by Sophie and Philippe Lacoste.

Pascal Conte-Jodra has spent more than twenty years building his career in major fashion houses. He began his career in 2003 as a financial analyst for Hermès in the United States, before joining the designer Carolina Herrera, part of the Puig Group, in 2007, where he was director of retail operations and strategic planning.

For four years, from 2013 to 2017, he took on the role of vice-president of finance at Marc Jacobs, again on the other side of the Atlantic. He returned to France in 2018 as managing director of Mugler Fashion within the L’Oréal group. He remained in this role for five years before taking over as CEO of the Parisian label Y/Project in 2023.

Pascal Conte-Jodra’s mission at Fusalp is to “inject a new creative and operational dynamic,” which includes strengthening the brand’s presence “both in France and internationally,” says Fusalp in a press release. Sophie and Philippe Lacoste, co-chairmen of Fusalp, added: “His exceptional track record and strategic vision are tremendous assets in guiding our company through this new phase of growth and success.”

In almost a decade of recovery, the company based between Annecy and Paris has seen its sales rise from €6 million in 2014 to €52 million by 2022/23. The company, which saw the Mirabaud fund take a stake in its capital in 2022, has set itself the target of achieving sales of €100 million by the end of its 2025/26 financial year. With a network of some sixty boutiques, the Alpine brand born in 1952 has opened a luxury flagship store in the Paris Golden Triangle in October 2023.
