Kate Middleton has been spotted wearing an array of fashionable coats and jackets over the years and there’s one style that perfectly highlights her sophisticated style. In 2021, the royal took a trip to Cumbria where she chose to don a belted jacket made from luxury wool by Really Wild – a label that she’s come to rely on for classic countryside pieces.
The £495 Tweed Belted Jacket has since sold out but the designer brand do have a number of other up to date jackets that you can browse here. If you’re looking to spend under £100, Marks and Spencer have dropped a similar style coat to Kate’s ensemble for £400 less.
Marks and Spencer’s Tweed Tailored Houndstooth Blazer with Wool retails for £79 and shoppers have highlighted it’s ‘right on trend this autumn’. Featuring traditional houndstooth check pattern, the double-breasted tweed blazer is both contemporary and classic.
It can be dressed down with boots and jeans, as Kate styled hers, or given a more formal edge with heels and tailored trousers or a skirt.
Marks and Spencer shoppers have been left very pleased with their purchase, with one person writing:”The size guidelines are perfect. The jacket is light though feels substantial both in quality and feel. Would recommend this garment and works both formal and casual setting.”
Another said: “It’s beautiful. Size 14 fits well. Stylish and well made.” And a third added: “I purchased this jacket today having checked it out a couple of times in store. A perfect size 8 fitting. Stylish, smart and comfortable to wear. Excellent value for the price.”
One consumer wasn’t left too pleased, explaining: “I am returning it, however, because although the pockets are ‘real’ rather than just fake flaps sewn to the front, the pocket bags are only about 9cm deep and can’t fit anything more than a packet of chewing gum. It certainly won’t take a phone. I need functional pockets for my work jackets so sadly back it goes.”
