My signature look: Half of my wardrobe consists of archival pieces from my mother. You’ll often find me in a sleek suit that belonged to her in the ‘90s—whenever someone asks me where my suits are from, I joke they’re from an under-the-radar boutique called Momma’s Closet. I frequently pair these pieces with vintage statement gold earrings and a conversational heel (either a gold-chained strappy stiletto or a pointed-toe Mary Jane pump with brooch detailing).
My favorite designers: I love the artistry of Schiaparelli—Daniel Roseberry’s work needs to be in a museum—the transfixing storytelling of Alexander McQueen, the conversational couture of Dior, and the classic wearability of Ralph Lauren. I’ve also been lucky enough to see Lee Alexander McQueen’s archival pieces in museums from Los Angeles to Sacramento.
On my fashion wish list: A Christian Dior newspaper leather saddle bag—the TV news anchor and reporter in me can’t help this on-the-nose nod to my journalistic profession. I would love to get my hands on the Dolce and Gabbana Book Shelf Box Bag, too. I’m a voracious reader/writer, and need this to pay homage to this passion!
A fun fact about me: I’m a TV news anchor and reporter in California by day, and a karaoke enthusiast by night! I’ve held a mic since I was five years old—when I performed my first opening solo for my parents’ choir. Now, I prefer to hold the mic to people whose voices don’t always get heard through broadcast storytelling.
