Giorgio Armani will stage his next One Night Only fashion and entertainment spectacular in New York in October, timed to celebrate the opening of a new space on Madison Avenue.
“I am delighted to return to New York to celebrate this very important project. My time in this city has always been significant and has marked key moments in my career,” stressed the designer.
After One Night Only in 2013, Giorgio Armani will return to Manhattan with an event to celebrate the opening of the new building on Madison Avenue, entirely redesigned to include residential units, Armani/Ristorante and the new Giorgio Armani and Armani/Casa boutiques, the Italian designer revealed Friday.
“The opening of Madison Avenue is an important personal milestone because it crystallizes my vision of style in the city that was perhaps the first to truly embrace it”, added Giorgio.
Last September, Armani staged an historic One Night Only show and bash in Venice which attracted scores of stars despite being held during the strike in Hollywood.
Sophia Loren, Jessica Chastain, Benicio Del Toro, Bridgerton star and Armani beauty ambassador Regé-Jean Page, Oscar-winning director Martin McDonagh, and singer Jack Savoretti all showed up to witness an Armani Privé haute-couture collection presented inside a giant red brick warehouse in the Arsenale, once used to construct the wooden warships of the famed Venetian fleet.
The house called the next One Night Only in uptown New York, “important project that confirms the designer’s close bond with the city.” The event, to be held on Thursday 17 October, will comprise a fashion show followed by an after party.
A unique One Night Only concept pioneered by Armani blends music, fine dining and shows with multiple collections. Various editions of One Night Only have been held in such disparate cities as London, Paris and Tokyo.
