This nnouncement has been made by the Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) after it made technical upgrades to its online system as a response to the disruptions in the digital services. No Late Penalty Fee For March Electricity Bills
As mentioned earlier, the Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has announced that no late penalty fee will be charged for March electricity bills. This step by the electricity company comes after technical upgrades to the online system to BESCOM between March 10 and 19. Acknowledging the inconvenience caused due to the glitches, as a result, BESCOM has announced that no penalties of late fee will be levied on the electricity bills for the month of March.
The press release, according to TOI said, “Even though online services resumed on March 20, there has beena heavy rush due to eight days of downtime. Hence, some consumers have been facing glitches… Consumers can pay their bills till March 30 and no penalty or late-payment charges will be levied.”
No Late Penalty For Electricity Bills – Check List Of Districts
The press statement by BESCOM said that since for eight days, the services of the company were down, there have been multiple technical issues and so bills can be paid without any extra payment/charges. The districts that come under BESCOM and thus will be part of this scheme, are Ramanagara, Chitradurga, Davangere, Kolar, Chikkaballapura, Bangalore Rural and Bangalore Urban.
If you come under BESCOM and want to pay the electricity bill online, you can do so by visiting the official website or the BESCOM Mithra application. The online services include changing tariffs and applying for new connections apart from paying bills.
