In June-July, it was observed that lakhs of users switched to BSNL after private telecom operators like Jio, Airtel, and Vi increased their tariff plans, prompting users to port their services to BSNL.
A few customers switched to BSNL after private players like Jio, Airtel, and Vi increased their tariff plans. Initially, these users appreciated the services of the state-run telecom company, but after a few months, many began considering a return to the private operators.
The subscribers want to switch their loyalty once again. According to retailers, users wish to port their plan after using the services of the state-run telecom operator.
In June-July, it was observed that lakhs of users switched to BSNL after private telecom operators like Jio, Airtel, and Vi increased their tariff plans, prompting users to port their services to BSNL.
Now, the users are unhappy with the services of BSNL while complaining that BSNL’s network is poor and its internet speed is also not good in comparison to the private players.
BSNL has yet not started its 5G services. Several users are not happy with 4G services and they complain about network and voice disruptions during calls.
As per retailers, a large number of users returned to Jio and Airtel While VI has not received good response from BSNL users because Vi’s network is also not as good as Airtel and Jio.
According to new data from TRAI, BSNL had registered 29.3 lakh users in the month of July which has now reduced to 80,000 users. It shows that despite the low tariff, the state-run operator failed to retain the users.
BSNL’s president and managing director Robert Ravi said that BSNL’s 4G services have started improving and it will match its services with the private players because it fulfills TRAI’s guidelines.
He said BSNL will soon improve its shortcomings and will provide good $G services to users.
