Hannah Spearritt has revealed why she bowed out of the S Club 7 reunion, after following Paul Cattermole’s death.
The singer, 42, left the newly-reunited band’s tour in May just weeks after her bandmate and ex-boyfriend Paul tragically died.
Paul was found dead at the age of 46 on April 6 at his home in Dorset, with no suspicious circumstances around his sudden death.
Now, Hannah has has revealed it ‘wasn’t the right time’ for her to go on tour with the band.
She told the Loose Women: ‘SClub will never be the same again, unfortunately. It just unfortunately wasn’t the right time for me to continue.’

Her bandmates Rachel Stevens, 45, Jon Lee, 41, Bradley McIntosh, 42, Jo O’Meara, 44, and Tina Barrett, 47, kicked off the S Club tour – which is dedicated to Paul – on October 12 2023.
Hanna previously admitted she doesn’t know if she will ever sing with S Club again.
She told The Sun: ‘Will I ever perform with them again? I just don’t know, I’m glad that the tour is still going ahead and the songs will live on, but now I’m looking forward, not backwards.’
She also revealed that she had been having ‘crippling panic attacks’ before quitting the tour as she spoke about how her health had been suffering at the time.
‘I hadn’t been in the best of health — I’ve got a compromised immune system and stress makes it worse,’ she went on.
‘My body just couldn’t cope with everything that was happening. I wasn’t myself, I was getting these crippling panic attacks, was suffering from really bad vertigo and was tired all the time.’
Hannah said her health was affecting her children – Tea, four, and Tora, two, who she shares with Adam Thomas – because she had no energy to do anything with them.
She told the Loose Women: ‘SClub will never be the same again, unfortunately. It just unfortunately wasn’t the right time for me to continue.’

She explained that after Paul’s death, she realised she couldn’t rejoin S Club for the tour, admitting ‘it just didn’t feel right’.
Hannah apologised to S Club’s fans for not deciding to leave but said she had to do what was best for herself and her family.
Hannah claimed she hasn’t been in touch with her former bandmates since she left the band, admitting she is sad not to be but insisted she wishes them ‘all the best’.
Hannah is now joining the line-up of Dancing On Ice, but made a cryptic comment about her former S Club bandmate Rachael amid claims of a feud between the pair.
Rachel, 45, is expected to be in the studio audience to support boyfriend and pro skater Brendyn Hatfield.
Bosses are said to be facing difficulties on set due to a ‘feud’ between the former bandmates, after it was claimed that Hannah is no longer on speaking terms with the rest of S Club following her departure.
Now, Hannah has fuelled the feud rumours by making a cryptic comment about Rachel – who competed with Brendyn on Dancing On Ice last year – on Thursday’s episode of Lorraine.

Chatting on the ice during rehearsals, Ria Hebden asked Hannah if she had asked ex Dancing On Ice star Rachel for ‘any advice’ before the show’s January 14 launch.
However, Hannah brushed off the remark as she simply said: ‘I know it sounds selfish but I’m just focusing on me.’
Rachel was paired with her now-boyfriend Brendyn on the show last year, but they were one of the first couples to be eliminated, leaving the competition in Week 4.
She went Instagram official with the skating professional in November and she is expected to be in the audience cheering him on as he is paired with comedian Lou Sanders on this year’s show.
