Mumbai: Things got from bad to worse for Mumbai Indians captain as he failed with the ball and then the bat on Sunday at the Wankhede stadium against Chennai Super Kings. After conceding 43 in three overs, Hardik could not come good with the bat as well as all he could muster was two runs off six balls. Hardik came into bat with MI in a crunch situation, he was expected to get the big hits coming and take the pressure of Rohit Sharma. Here is how fans are now blaming Hardik for MI’s poor show at the Wankhede.
When his team needed him the most, skipper Hardik Pandya is removed on 2 runs off 6 balls. What a disappointment #IPL2024 #tapmad #HojaoADFree pic.twitter.com/JeKtcULrt5

Hardik Pandya’s lost his power hitting abilities with the bat, big time. Surprised no one has noticed it.

Hardik Pandya’s judgment is sooooo poor. He wasted 2 precious reviews on wide call/non-call – one in his bowling and one when he was facing the ball.
In both cases, it was crystal clear, even before replay, that there was ZERO chance of overturning!
Why waste it on wides?

If #Hardikpandya continues playing like this he’ll not be far from ending up in this situation again pic.twitter.com/x70g1K6sMc

At the time of filing the copy, MI still need 53 off 18 balls. Rohit is on 83* off 53 balls and he along with Romario Shephard would be the key from here.
