Harris Fox News interview shows 'complete transparency': Herridge

(NewsNation) — Journalist Catherine Herridge believes Fox’s Bret Baier interview with Kamala Harris showcased “complete transparency.”

Herridge has spent years in federal court defending the media’s right to protect the confidentiality of sources, and she continues to fight for fair journalism through her support of the PRESS Act.

“I thought Baier was right down the middle, very professional,” Herridge said during a Thursday appearance on “Dan Abrams Live.” “He was clearly listening to her. … The most important thing to me, though, is that Fox released the entire interview. There was complete accountability for the network, and that also held true for Harris.”

Harris took a risk by appearing on the network just three weeks before Election Day as part of a recent media blitz in which she’s trying to cobble together enough of a coalition to beat former President Trump.

More than 7 million people tuned in to watch Harris’s interview with Fox, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

The less-than-half-hour sit-down between the anchor and Democratic nominee for president delivered 7.1 million viewers for the cable channel, including 882,000 in the advertiser-coveted 25-54 age demographic.
